no, it is not a linear skatepark. as a beginner its going alot tougher to try what you want to try as this park is more street oriented. try oakdale, maple grove, or any of the other outdoor parks. theyre free, less crowded, and provide an open learning space where you wont get in anyones way. less people around will also make it easier to learn park etiquette so that when you go to places like familia youre not going to steal someones turn on accident or intersect someones path and cause a collision. familia is more or less a intermediate to expert park and if youre looking for in indoor park i would reccomend either help boardshop in edina or 3rd lair in golden valley.
Yes! This skatepark is excellent for beginners, however go at odd hours or designated beginner times to avoid a busy, fast skatepark (call Familia on best times or programming).
