Is the the park open to ANYONE (non-residents, out-of-town vacationers, etc.) who are visiting the Oyster Bay area? There seems to be a lot of conflicting answers to this.

Parking is free. Always has been. None residents can also park for free. Can not leave cars over night. Park is open to anyone who wants to go...a fee would be required if taking the tour.

Yes the park is open to anyone, but in order to park in the parking lot, you must have a resident sticker during the summer months.

I parked on the side street and walked in. You can go for free. Parking maybe not.
