This is the best place to visit. Nice people, cool trains and much more. I now volunteer because I loved it here.

Small display of trains but fun to see for small children.

This place will be a great addition to Oyster Bay in the future. Needs A lot more funds to complete but they will get there. If you want to see the work and the plans go to their website or stop and see the restoration process in person. Back in the day President Theodore Roosevelt got the train here., when he was at Sagamore Hill the Summer White House, when completed the Station will Highlight President Theodore Roosevelt’s connection to it. I am sure it will draw Train enthusiasts from all around when completed. I was here on 8/3/2021 and found out the museum has moved here it is open on the weekends The place is a beautiful historic landmark and the building looks fully restored and ready for tourists and townspeople.

We are now open for the 2021 season. Saturday and Sunday 12-4 but will extend hours for the summer.
Unfortunately, all demolition was done prior to 2000 when we can up to the bay. Sorry. Check with the Oyster Bay Historical Societyy
As we are an all volunteer organization, we do have weekday jobs and can’t open due the week, yet.
Parking is at our visitors center.
