I'm not in charge of hiring but I can tell you at the navy yard they dont build ships any more it's called navy yard by name only

Although this is still called the navy yard they no longer build ships here since the late 1960s. It's an industrial complex. They still repair boats here. Google Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation. I am a Facilities Manager for a private company.
