I'm pretty sure they have one of those lifts, but for most of the time they usually lift the person by hand just a few strong people to help the person / kid into the train.
I would call ahead. These are old trains that only travel a short route for Easter, Christmas, etc. They should be open today being a Sunday. That said, if you want to go into the museum it is a rough few feet over the tracks, etc.
