This is a question best answered by someone that works there and sees first-hand. I have never worked there. Going only on general personal knowledge, I would agree that most people only want kittens or puppies. Some people prefer pets that are two it three years old. Older pets do get adopted, but it is a smaller pool of people that will adopt an older pet. I'm assuming not every pet will find a home, but they do their very best to do so.

I hate to disagree with the other answerer. But truthfully most older cats do NOT find a home . Most people adopt kittens.
