Yard debris permits are $20 if you purchase a trash permit at the same time, only! Otherwise, the yard debris permits are $25. ALL permits are valid from July 1 to June 30th. You must have new permits by July 1 each year. Permits stop being sold in April and the new permits go on sale in June. You must have a Maryland driver's license and valid registration to show the person working at the permit building. Also, both of these documents MUST match to a Washington County address.
I went to this landfill May 30, 2018. I'm a new resident of Hagerstown. I took 3 bags leaves and sticks. I orginally called and recording said $15 year. I get there and was told I couldn't get a permit. A wasted trip. The recording should explain instead they said I should have talked to someone. What good is a recording that doesn't give customers updated information. This system sucks!!
