I have seen Dr. Villanueva for over a year now due to trying to diagnose a reoccurring issue. I recently had a flare up the did not allow me to walk without crutches. As a result fluid was drawn for testing. I was asked by his staff to call after a few days to receive results. I called and left a message. I called 3 more times before I received a call back 6 days after I was told to call. I was told my labs were not all completed and they were going to see if they could conduct the remaining tests still. On my return for my follow up they were not able to complete all of the tests. Dr. Villanueva prescribed my medication to reduce the swelling and pain along with another blood test. Upon arrival to my pharmacy they had not yet received my prescription information from the doctors office. I called them 3 hours later and they still did not have any prescription information for me. I called Dr. Villanueva’s office and left a message asking to be called back. No one called my back. I have been doing my part in keeping appointments and following instructions but I would not recommend going to an office that has recently failed me repeatedly as I am trying to understand what treatment I need so I can walk and move normally as I once did. I thanked Dr. Villanueva for his help with my issue but I am looking elsewhere for treatment and care.

MMI has great staff.They are polite and courteous and their phones are answered promptly and efficiently. I have referred many patients to MMI and they have been very happy with the care they received. I request if they can post/clarify on their website as to what conditions they do not see,specially in pediatric population;that would help save time for referring doctors as well as staff from receiving unnecessary calls.

The ladies at the front desk were so nice and kind. Dr Villanueva was very matter of fact, which was nice. He was able to tell me right away what he thought was going on but wanted to do blood work to rule out other possibilities. His initial diagnosis was confirmed. Nice to find a competent doctor in Hagerstown!
