No cafeteria. There are vending machines and a gift shop in the planetarium building.
Hey Barry, thanks for writing in! We do not have a cafe, but like Brian said below, it is in the works. You'll notice the temporary walls up in the lobby when you visit. Doubly unfortunate, since the construction area takes away the hallway that was there, the vending machines with snacks in them were removed from the property altogether. We just didn't have a place to put them. The drink vending machine is still there though. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Everything Eleni said, plus a knowledgeable courteous staff. The staff are Astronmy Majors and related fields attending Stonybrook.
No cafe
Even better, there's a planetarium! (Plans are underway for a cafe.)
