How to buy a ticket at Port Authority Bus Terminal

Depends on where you are going? There are ticket booths all over the building. You can always google your origin to your destination and it will give the option of taking a bus like greyhound, peter pan ,and even local buses.Once you know the bus line you need,you can order online or go to the port authority in person.Hope this helps ,Good luck

There is one ticket window for discounted tickets on first floor but that is closed on weekends. But in any case you can buy it on bus itself in cash.

There is an OPEN window between 42nd & 8 Ave, it closes by 6:00 am! Depending on what 🚌 company u need, greyhound, Peter Pan, etc. GO EARLY bc they CAN HAVE LONG LINES! LOTS OF NYC POLICEMEN there, just ASK ☝ of THEM!😂

Just check in the front entrance, the ladies their can sell you tickets

The bus ticket vending machines and metro card machines are different. For buses, you can easily print tickets in the kiosk installed at various floors pointing to the gates. OR you can simply download NJ transit app and make online purchase
