I see a lot on here that there is a fee for surrendering cats, but what about dogs? Do they take dogs? If I do this, will he be taken care of and find a new home, or does he run the risk of being put down?

There is no fee for surrendering dogs, however, you do have to fill out paperwork about the dog and it is also not guaranteed that the shelter will take your dog. Sun Valley Animal shelter is a no kill shelter so your animal will not be put down! If they decide not to accept the dog, medical purposes, behavior, etc, they will most likely give you information on other places you can surrender your dog. If they do take your dog then it will be taken care of.
