Do you guys regularly ask your pet owners what kind and how much food they give their older animals and suggest feeding more if the animal seems thin?

Dear Ms. O'Dell, We make recommendations based on the individual patient and the circumstances. There may be instances where increasing food intake is appropriate. It’s also possible that diagnostics would be recommended for weight loss in older pets. If you would like to make an appointment to address any specific concerns you may have, please call us at 919-471-4103. Bahama Road Veterinary Hospital

When I've taken my 2 dogs, they make recommendations based on breed, health, age and goals.

I don't work there either, but we have one fat and one thin cat and they have made suggestions on how much to feed, and to feed them separately. All in all I think they are a great vet office. Ask for Dr York, we like him.

I don't work there I just take my animals there and the vet did comment on weight being good so I think they do comment on an animal's weight.
