Dolby is sound, IMAX is a big picture, and 3d is a three dementional picture and you have to were special glasses to see the picture
Dolby Cinema has a very large curved screen that displays the movie in 4K, and uses the latest Dolby Audio technology. The chairs are large and comfortable and they have Rumblers attached to them. The seats are also pre-assigned like IMAX seats are preassigned. 'The best bang for the buck' today is Dolby Cinema. 3D is nice but it is overpriced on most movies. 4K comes really close to being there...
Also Dolby theater has big comfy chairs that recline. You also pick your seat assignment when you buy your ticket
