A bad meal is rare here. Been eating from here for years. Their lomo has a 92% approval from my part. I can tell when they try to use cheaper beef but they do right by you most of the time.

I was very disappointed with the food and service tonight. It's a Tuesday night so it wasn't that busy. The service was very, very slow. I kid you not, I was just here on Saturday night and my food was out within 15 minutes. I ordered the Bistec de pobres. The steak was tough, fries underneath were greasy and inedible, and the rice was sticky. Just gross and trust me when I tell you, I would never waste a French fry! That's like sacrilege. Not even the green sauce helped. The fried egg came out halfway through the meal, which already took 45 minutes to come out. All in all, a horrible tasteless experience. Do yourself a favor and order the lomo saltado which has a lot of flavor.

My favorite Peruvian restaurant! I just wish it was much closer to NYC. The lomo saltado in the city costs $27 in Pio Pio and here we only pay $10. The tallarin verde con pollo is delicious!
