You can receive pantry staples from the food pantry once a month if you live in Gary and have proof of residency. You can also receive toiletries and household items every 90 days once you qualify as a client. However, you have to be homeless and reside in one of the four local shelters that they serve and satisfactorily complete classes and other program requirements in order to receive furniture when you are securely housed.
