In order to qualify for assistance through the food pantry and clothes closet you must be a Gary resident with proof of residency. Food is available once a month. Clothing and personal items are available once every three months and require documentation for each member of the household. In order to be a client of the day center, you have to be homeless and housed at one of four local shelters. For information you should call them at 885-2282.
