Can people still bring their cans to scrap for cash? My friend has like an ungodly amount of cans such as veggie cans and coke cans etc to scrap off she asked me to find out for her? Whats the price per weight/unit whatever lol, for cans?

The aluminum cans are a market of their own, and are not a regulated material so therefore you are not required to have a cash transaction card. Be sure that your aluminum cans are just beverage cans only, and are dry. No foil pans, pet food cans or vegetable cans. Just beverage cans

A little off on that answer sir.im there at least once a week sometimes 4-5 times a week. Soda cans and veg. cans are sold at a different price. Soda cans are aluminum and veg cans are tin. Right now tin is $4.00 per one hundred pounds. Aluminum cans are .40 cents per pound. As for the ID goes you'll need you DL or state ID and yes they will pay you with a check written on Pilgrim's bank who will cash it for free. You can also get a scrappers ID while you are there. They will make while you wait 2-3 min. On your next trip and all that follow you can be paid in cash. Hope this helps you

I don't know the price,but vegetable cans are sold separately from soda cans.When you go in you will have to get a scraper ID card and it will be mailed to you and until you receive it,they pay you with a check.
