Would not deliver my package, Never came to door or in yard or anything but said package undeliverable because there was no secure location… If I wanted come to post office to pick up a package then I would not have had it delivered I would have had it sent straight to post office

Not very dependable. Leaves packages at wrong houses. One postal worker tried to steal my pkgs. Didn't deliver our mail today because they said our mailbox was blocked. Nothing was blocking our mailbox. They walk big pkgs to the porch. They could have done the same with our mail. We had a pkg we were expecting and they took it back go the post office and we have now wait until Monday to get it coz of their carelessness. They don't have anyone at the post office on Saturday to answer the phone or an answering machine. It said the mail was to be held at request of customer. We never asked that!! We need some more responsibile postal workers on our route. I'm tired of all the terrible service. I'm disabled and they know it and they will put pkgs on the ground instead of on the chair I put for them to set them in.

You'll probably have to wait until Monday for it to be delivered or go pick it from them first thing Monday morning.

Someone has been taking things from our mailboxes. Is it possible for my mail carrier to bring packages to my door instead of the mailbox?

I was told by an area wide postal official that: "If you have a mobility limitation, certain medical conditions, if you are at great risk of falling, or, if you have a an issue that makes going a long distance to reach your daily mail box, your doctor can write a letter of handicapped-specific certification to submit to your nearest post office. I have obtained the doctor's letter and will be submitting it soon. My issue is that I am a very high fall risk and a crippled body. I try to "drive by" my mailbox located at the end of a very long slanted driveway, and have fallen many times due to arthritis, leg &foot deformity, and previous associated injuries, and I live alone, so if I did fall, getting help would be a serious issue. Ask your postmaster and make inquiries to see if you fit into a category that would warrant delivery to your front door.

If you are not in a hurry and can provide your own box, you can take advantage of the media rate for packages that include only books. Depending on the weight, it might be in the two to four dollar range. Super economical and a fabulous service of our Post Office.
