Can I make an appointment to get my battery replaced or do I have to wait in line?

I've done that before on an iPhone 5. I made an appointment to see the tech. At the appointment they determined they had to replace the whole phone for just the price of the battery. When the phone arrived in s couple of days they called. The second visit took just 20 minutes to move the SIM, activate, and restore the cloud backup.

I waited a total of 3 hours but the fastest appointment was a week so it was worth it to me replaced the phone and with the backup completed didn't lose a single thing
