I've been to Swedish Cov. for yrs. & satis with my GI & GMC, but the finance off. too close mouthed & inconsistent. They dropped me from hardship status without explanation, possibly bc I had Spend-Down. I think thr new affil. with Northshore a financial step in good dir. Skokie Hosp. is almost entirely Ortho now; & I've been told to seek knee care thr with my own spec. needs, wants, & knowledge, by my elder MD friend. Perhaps I no too much 4 my own good but my TKA from now closed Hosp. where I worked, was mediocre for an athlete wouldbe (dancer), I was/am. I improved notwithstanding, my then 'pod better suited 4 GP & lecturing. As 4 ur PD or PS, I believe in pt-based med., so keep looking rd 4 ctr that has best Neuro & neurosurg. rep. 4 the care you can afford, like NW/NU. Without u revealing ur hc hx & finances, u prob. won't get a straight answer. Having a prepared legal rep., if u can afford it, not a bad idea. Making inquiries like this, a good idea and family support too.
Hey Ted sorry 2 hear abt ur situation and I'll pray 4 u.🙏 North shore is a great hospital but I went thr 4 back surgery. I do no that they were the best 4 me and I hear the Midwest 4 my situation. They r comforting and very helpful. I will always recommend North shore 4 help.
