They ARE a rescue! Why would they "release" their animals to other rescues?!
Release? What do you mean?
If animals taken in by Best Friends are not found a forever home they remain there, wrll tajen care if, loved, plsyed and if temperament allows they can go on sleep overs with potential adopters or volunteers. This is a NO kill facility.
It's my understanding that most the animals taken in by Best Friends have already been through other shelters and were not adopted, often because of special needs, health or temperament issues, and were close to being euthanized. Others were rescued during natural disasters and storms, things like that, but I am pretty certain they don't release animals BACK to other shelters.
