Popular coffee shop and co-working space. We went at 10 am on a Tuesday and there were only a couple of seats left. There were LOTS of people co-working there. It's definitely the biggest coffee shop I've been to, and has that industrial vibe to it. I got the honest John, which was advertised as having slightly sweet notes while still tasting like coffee. It was ok (then again, that's how I feel about most coffee). It was relatively expensive (I think I paid $6 for a 12 oz plus 20% tip), but that's fairly standard for coffee shops. Will I come again? Probably not. I like smaller, cozier, and quieter coffee shops.

I made several trips into Salt Lake City between the months of April and September 2022. Publik is a real charming venue. But. The staff is needlessly slow. The coffee really is nothing special. And the jalapeno cheese scone that I had the other day was flat out stale. I've decided that I have given this place enough chances. I'm really disappointed because this place could be amazing. More than half of my visits I experienced really slow ordering and serving times. One time after I got into my car and tasted the coffee I thought what the hell is this? It was plain bad. 20 minutes in line to get a coffee is too much. The line was long because the staff was slow. The barista especially did not seem to be in a hurry, or motivated. Now I will give them this. On a Saturday morning, usually very busy in coffee shops, they were short-staffed, a common problem in retail operations these days. They had one person on the cash register, one barista, and one person making food. I know it's tough, but this was poor planning. On other occasions when I've been to publik coffee roasters I've seen as many as five or six people behind the counter in various functions. There was one other person who came out and bussed the upstairs and downstairs tables. On Saturday 9/24 I waited a good 20 minutes, actually it was nearly half an hour, to order. I waited another 20 minutes to be served my coffee. I'll never go back to this place. I am done. And this business should be too.

Publik is always great! The staff is really friendly, service is fast, and the place is always clean. It's a great spot to stop for a cup of coffee with a friend, or to post up and get some work done. It's usually fairly busy, but the noise level is low despite that. Great spot!

No, Carol. We are simply a venue, but we host various one-day art events.
Usually 4x a year - Winter, Spring, Summer & Fall. However, we serve the sparkling mint limeade year round at Publik Kitchen. :)
