You can. Depends on what you have now. If yours by is expiring and you already have enhanced and renewing enhanced. If you already took a new picture the last time you can renew online. My picture was old so I only had to go to license express. Fill out short paper. Take picture at the window and show current state enhanced I'd. I did not have an appointment but you can make one
I believe it has to be within 2 years of your expiration date, but perhaps that only pertains to out-of-state id. Have all the documents ready, bring your expired state id. They will answer any questions you have if you are confused about anything. Without having all the documents with you though, they won't be able to process your case.
