Because equipment, education, insurance, rent, taxes, crazy pensons, utilities etc. In the state of Illinois, specially Chicago are through the moon. That's what makes everything so expensive. I just want to say that I'm not affiliated with the hospital or anybody at the University of Chicago.

Hi James Lute, You need to speek to someone in billing because i have never had a $700 bill for orthopedics consult or a followup the only time i received a bill that was $700+ was for a surgical procedure
