If you're serious about it, you should call the hospital and don't waste your time on Google questions and answers. Follow your dreams, do an internship as soon as possible so you can get experience.
probably need 4-6+ years of med school then years for specialties. plus money and high grades. but I am not a doctor and don't know for sure. doubtful that sitting- in is ever generally offered to the interested public.
