Why would we get shunted to the bar for brunch - told open tables were reservation only? There wetenumerous tables open when we got there and when we left.

You must have misunderstood, I made a reservation ON open table (the app) and had no problem. They seemed really busy when I went and I'm assuming they hold tables for people who make reservations ahead of time. I don't know if that helps.

They may only serve food at the bar at a certain time and at dinner. Not sure.
