I went in here with a friend on a friday around happy hour. The cocktails were uninspiring and the service staff was slow. When finally did get my order taken I let the bartender (who was clearly new to both bartending and the Josephine) know that I was vegan and even the smallest amount of dairy or meat would make me very ill. He recommended french fries so I ordered the fries ate a handful and began to get sick. I asked if there was butter or anything in the fries he checked and found out there was butter! They still made me pay for the fries but offered to remake them. I will not be going back. This place has little regard for dietary restrictions, allergies or aversions. Save your time and money. You could go to Butcher and Bee in East Nashville instead. Update: what is unfortunate is whomever is responsible for this response has continued the tradition of deflecting responsiblity of the shortcomings of this resturant by attacking the reviewers(see the responses to any unfavorable reviews). I went to your restaurant to spend my money and you poisoned me. Any profanity is protected by my freedom of speech. What bar is free of profanity? I am upset that i gave you my dietary restrictions and you failed to protect me as a consumer. You should be ashamed of yourself. You didn't take off the fries(another lie) but I still left 20 percent on a bill that any other establishment would have taken care of. Honestly it's pathetic and word will get out.

Service was great, super nice people. The food overall was meh. Chicken for 2 was dry/overcooked. Scallops were tasty however overpriced $37 for 2. Tuna was a bit stringy. Decent experience but the food was below expectations

Very good food and the biscuits are heavenly. Very nice location and the interior of the restaurant is beautiful.

What a fantastic restaurant! Best food in Nashville. Inventive combinations with fresh ingredients. Lovely ambiance and great service (Kyle is fabulous!)
