I’ve lost my ID and it takes almost 2 weeks to get the new one in the mail, in the mean time I have the paper from the license office that substitutes until I have my actual ID, will that paper with my information work when trying to fly?

Call them.

TSA Officer replying. You will be asked to produce a second form of ID unless you have a passport. (Preferred method btw). This second form of ID can be credit card, Prescription bottle, as long as it matches the name on the boarding pass. You will then be processed through the checkpoint with additional screening.
