I have a son with severe food allergies and we will be flying for the first time, are we able to bring his food and certain brands of food in our carry on for our trip, also can we check some as well? Thanks.

You shouldn't have any problems. No liquid's or gels though. Pastas and bread shouldn't be a problem.

I have only flown with Southwest, so don't know about other specific airlines, but you can bring and carry on solid foods. Liquids are regulated when coming thru security (check the TSA website for that info), but anything purchased/filled after you have gone thru security is allowed on board, with the exception of alcohol (not allowed). Food and liquids can be in checked baggage, as long as it is secure.
