I went into it blind. Only knowing the bad. That this place was a hang out for addicts basically is what I had always heard. I started at a clinic in Greenville NC not associated with McCleod Center but since I started with MCCleod I will drive hours to stay in their care even if their are others closer. Why? They are a to the point facility they stay open lover than any other clinics I’ve looked up & they work with you sometimes if you have some unforeseen circumstances that come up and you need their assistance... yes, if it’s a odd request then they have to ask around because it seems like slog of councilors come and go but still AS LONG AS YOU ARE DOING RIGHT, passing drug screens & coming in if they call you.... then they WILL HELP YOU IN EVERYWAY TO MAKE LIFE EASIER AND SOBRIETY A REALITY BECAUSE THEY SEE YOU TAKE TREATMENT SERIOUSLY BUT if you do not they will not either. And I don’t mean that like they could care less. They just want you to come here ready to really change
Get there early; it's a fairly long process. You'll see a counselor for intake (at least an hour), then see a Doc/APRN for medical assessment (another hour). Most people receive medication that day. I got there at 6:30am and didn't get out of there until 2:00pm (computer issues, understaffed, and an aggitated patient causing a scene) I'm told that's not the norm - usually 2-3 hrs. Staff is great. I feel safe there physically and emotionally.
I hear that this is a legally drug dealer
