You can tell the staff what you're looking for and they can help you find a good fit. They're very knowledgeable and spend a lot of time with these dogs, so they'll know if there's one that seems to be what you're looking for.
We adopted two over the years. Both were house trained and very well mannered. One is sweet and quiet and just a snuggler. The other is scrappy and playful. They were both returned to animal control before I got them. Dont overlook the sad looking dogs. They are usually there through no fault of their own. Also you can meet and greet each dog before adopting. We got our pups at Roanoke Animal control but all dogs are worth a look at any animal control. Good Luck..
