I got there at 6 am and was done by 9 am. You need to check which locations are doing ID's though. Newton is only doing things with vehicles, ie titles and registrations. Oakland, Paterson, Wayne and other are doing license things.
Closest dmv to Newton that does licensing is Randolph. You have to get there at like 6 am or they don't take you.
