The place is now and always has been completely unmanned. I don't understand why Fish and Wildlife decided to close it. It requires no manpower on thier part. I suspect it's some type of petty politics. I advocate civil disobedience and take the ropes down (as they were Saturday).
We were there last weekend and the game warden Caleb and didn't say anything about not being able to kayak
