Menantico Ponds is a Wildlife Management Area controlled by NJ Fish and Wildlife, not a State Park. Select state parks and forests have overnight accommodations available to the public for a fee. Wildlife Management Areas (such as Menantico Ponds) prohibit camping as well as fires, picnicking, alcoholic beverages, swimming, and off-road vehicles (ATV's, UTV's and Dirtbikes). These properties are for thw wildlife and for hunting, fishing and trapping.
People have and do, although there is no designated camping area. It is a state park game preserve, so all state park rules must be followed.
A few people have camped here overnight, but be careful to follow the rules and guidelines for this state park.
