I have a 2004 Malibu only 113000 miles and all of a sudden it was making a wuerd ticking noise I've been told it's the liftrrs,the cam,the oxygen sensor ,the cylinder etc. Any ideas and how much to diagnose it?

You would have to talk to a tech. Diagnostics are easy if the check engine light is on, they can just pull the codes. But if the check engine light isn't on, then it's really a matter of looking at the car, and going through probable causes until you find the right one. Could find the problem right away, could be the last thing they check.
