If you live in Mecklenburg County and have found kittens, after making sure the mama is not still around and off to find food for herself, you can bring them to the Charlotte Kitten Nursery at Animal Care and Control located at 8315 Byram Dr. Check their website for hours of drop off. If you begin taking care of them first however they will consider it an animal surrender instead of found kittens.
They don't actually handle any of the adoptions as all approvals go through the organization they're partnered with so they can't take on kittens that way.
