Hello Sabrina, Glen Island Park is a private park. Also you must be a Westchester resident with proof of ID and a park pass to enter. However, you can also rent a specific spot (#) that will be yours for the day. Due to Covid, rules to entry were altered a bit. Lastly they do have open picnic areas all with grills that you do not need to pay for . Hope that was helpful, also you can call them to get more information
Sabrina, after Labor Day you don't have to be a Westchester resident. There are plenty of picnic tables w/ grills... No charge...Enjoy!
You do not need to be a Westchester resident to visit the park only the beach. I believe the no cost picnic areas are 1st come 1st served. Call to check on that.
You need to be Westchester resident to register for one of the areas
