Some insurances don't cover mental health so it's easier for them to do self pay. On the plus side, if you keep your receipts you can write them off during tax time. But 55 isn't a bad co pay.
Medical insurance often times dictates how the doctors treat their patients. For me personally, it was the best choice making the switch to Genesis. The fees are affordable for everyone. It's only $55.00 per month. That's less than any utility or cellular service we all pay for. My sanity surpasses my need for cable or cellphone, ya know? Over a decade ago I was in and out of psychiatric facilities. I was over prescribed medications. Commonly misdiagnosed.. I was tired of being a guinea pig. I've been seeing Dr Ott at genesis for over a decade now. I came in brutally honest, brutally broken and stubborn as hell!! I've finally been properly diagnosed, my medicine regimen has decreased by 70%. I finally feel alive. Insurance companies do not run this amazing practice, you wont find any of them to be in a rush with their hand on the doorknob waiting for you to exit expidiciously. The doctors and staff in this practice go above and beyond what your bsbs or cigna's insurance covers.
Is it $55 a visit?
I love them and even though my copay would be cheaper, I wont let that steer me away!
No insurance but great people.
