Hi Amy, No. Per the National Organ Transplant Act of 1984, organ procurement organizations that recover organs for transplantation purposes cannot provide valuable consideration (including paying for funeral arrangements) in exchange for anatomical donations. Whole body donation organizations that recover organs and tissues for medical education and research are not bound by the same regulations however.
