Current resident at Ivy Crossing which is now ran by Warren Village. From June 15, 2021 until today July 29th, 2022. My kitchen light has been filled with water due to damage in the roof. The roof structure above the stairs has all fallen apart results lead to a giant hole above my door. There are two patches in my living room where it looks like there could have been water damage. I have informed Ivy Crossing about these issues on multiple occasions through office visits and emails. Each time I was told, maintenance would come and fix the problems. I’m currently five months pregnant and TO ME this is not a safe unit for me or my child. I was told if I want to sign a new lease I would have to stay in the same unit. I want to allow others to witness the unprofessionalism of this management company. I have also informed the Tri-County Health Department as they told me this is NOT their first rodeo with Ivy Crossing. Below are pictures of my current situation.

So far there’s hasn’t been any progress. I came in to get assist in completing some blanks on my application. But I was told an appointment is required. The sweet lady at the desk was helpful and provided me the number but when I called, I heard the phone ring behind me which was the lady I called numerous times before to schedule an appointment. I went to my car and called again and left a voicemail stating I’ve been trying to get a hold of someone to get an appointment but no one is returning my calls nor assisting me. I was recommended to this place by Colorado Family Life Center, MotherWise, Nurse Family Partnership and Alternative for Pregnancy and to find out that Warren Village has not been helpful in regards to assisting me as a single parent with my 6 month old son.. I’ll still try and reach out but it’s been over a month that no one has returned my calls..

Will change your life if you become very involved in what they offer. If you're just there to live, it's clean and accommodating.

Questions & Answers

I am a veteran seeking housing. What steps do I take to be able to get into transitional housing and eventually be able to get my place? Need all the help and info I can get. Thank you

Warren Village is for single parents, they can help with housing if you have kids under 18. Call Impact Humanity if you dont have children to get help with housing. They have a lot of information to dwindle down all of your resources and find housing quickly.

Can you only live here once in your life? I lived here back in 2013 had the means to move out, but now I'm struggling again and need housing just so I can get back on my feet.

So sorry but it's only once in a life time. I have the housing list if you need it.

Is it super strict? Can you have a friend or family over to your apartment without asking permission?

Good questions DJ. You do not need permission, per se. There are limits on the number of overnight visits you can have, visitors must have valid identification when they visit for the first time, they have to follow building, they must be buzzed in at the front doors for your and other resident's safeties, etc. But for the most part you free to have visitors as you wish.

Yes or be in school full time. Or half and half

Do you help people from another state? That's trying to relocate and already have a job lined up. I'm a single mother of two.

I do not work for them so I can't really answer that question as I simply don't know.

I’m 16 and I’m 1 month pregnant, when I told my parents I got kicked out the house and now I’m homeless living with a friend but I can’t stay for too long. I’m a single mom and I have a job but I don’t know where to live, can I move here?

I would defintely check into it. I am a childhood educator at Warren Village Learning Center but you should call them and fill out an application. I wish you well.

Warren Village is a transitional housing program for single parent families. You can attend school but you live there at Warren Village while in the program.

How long does it typically take to get housing in the program?

Elizabeth Christine | Oct 8, 2018

James Davis | Oct 8, 2018
Emily Hanke | Oct 8, 2018

I think you may need to contact Warren Village directly to ask this question. I'm sure Philadelphia has some type of 211 phone number you can call to get information as well
