My husband went to this facility for rehabilitation because of accident..He was only treated half decently when it was time for his physical therapy. He was given hallucinating drugs under the pretense that it was a appetite enhancer..I came into his room as he tried to climb out window ..No one gave permission to give him tranquilizer ..I noticed many of the patients were under heavy meds. The out side garden do heavily advertised was closed for mi reason and anyone who wanted some air was allowed to sit where the garbage was.plus someone was giving outside drugs there to patients I imagine for money The one hour physical therapy was very good but one theropist who really encouraged independence and gave therepy help towards that goal was terminated. The food was cold and terrible. The staff who cared were under a lot of pressure and overloaded.
I am a health care worker for over 34 years my aunt was a client at Fort Tyron 2017 to 2018 for 1 year and I am happy to say she received excellent care from the nursing staffs any concern I had the staff was able to answer or got back to me in less than 24 hrs my family and I had the pleasure to meet a dedicated team at Fort Tryon. We relocated our aunt to be closer to family into NJ when my aunt arrived at my place of work we got lots of compliments about her care skin was intact.Hope this is helpful to other families. Only, because you was there for your family member, and they knew it. That's why they cared for her so professionally.
