I have my own boat so I'm not sure on costs I know the state park had fishing boats as mentioned plus a few deck boats for rent as well. I highly recommend renting a boat and getting out there, there is no better way to see and enjoy the islands than on your own boat. One word of caution, the state park is right next to the border line between USA and Canada... if you cross the line in your boat, you are required to have a passport or enhanced license on you if you're over 12 years old. You do not have to report to customs as long as you don't dock, but you must have the id on you if you're pulled over and asked for it. To be clear, you don't need to cross the border line, just be aware of where it is if you don't have a passport as the line is very close to the marina there. Also, I know you are encouraged to make a reservation ahead of time. Just call the marina. One thought... if new or unsure of handling a boat, this may not be best place to start. Waters here can be tricky!
We just rented a 16 ft for the day and total cost after fuel and everything was $190. We picked the boat up at 7 AM and didn't have to have it back till 7 PM.
Power boat 300 to 400 a day. I think the state park marina is like 60 dollar a day for a tin boat for fishing.
I beleive it was 65 a day not sure have my boat dock fees are 15 day
