Use cellphone waiting area. You don’t need to pay for it. When they call you to pick up just go there and pick up. Till that time you can wait in your car.
Park in the cell phone lit until they're at the curb ready to be picked up -- then drive around and pick them up. No cost to wait in your car at that lot. It's on the right before south terminal pickup, drop off.
I suggested no parking if you going to park stay in your car.
Alternatively, you can circle the airport and come back if they aren't out there yet. Security will not let you sit very long before moving you along
