I would think so - however, there are a lot of small, brightly colored stones that a child of the appropriate age might choose to mouth and or swallow, so just be aware that it may not be appropriate for all children. If you do happen to go, ask for Ruth - who is utterly fantastic.
Yes. Most of the large and fragile items have don't touch signs. But many are behind glass display cases. There is a section to actually purchase smaller gems that you are allowed to touch. If anything is questionable, ask the staff. They are very accommodating.
I believe so but i saw a lot of no touching signs (and fragile things).
