I've just walked in before and got lucky with a seat but place is always busy because the food is delicious. I'd recommend making a reservation
Walked in as a solo diner, Sunday at 4:30 and had a pleasant meal at the bar. Bartender was solicitous and offered suggestions and answered questions.
Don't have to, but they do accept them. When it's a peak busy time you'll be happy you have reservations.
We went without a reservation and waited 45 minutes to be served. Worth the wait. Will call next time.
