I have 2 cats that I can no longer care for. There is a male and a female and neither are fixed. We think the female may be pregnant, as well. I live in Frederick County, how should I go about surrendering them? Should I get them fixed first?

Hi Jacob, Please contact the primary shelter for Frederick County, Esther Boyd. In the event they are unable to assist, you can give us a call but this time of year we normally remain at capacity. Getting the cats fixed prior to surrender would be of great help and then we would be more likely to be able to get them into our adoption center quickly. Thank you.

If you can get them fixed first that would be beneficial, then just take them into the office and surrender them and they will find them very nice homes.
