The employees at Briggs work very hard to find just the right placements for the cats and dogs here. This is to help ensure that people aren't making snap decisions and taking home a cat or a dog who isn't a good fit for their family. Generally negative comments are from people who didn't have the right environment for a particular animal, such as a fence for a dog with a history of bolting when scared. Many times a potential adopter doesn't have a history of vet care for their other animals, and that's not an environment that we want to put an animal in.
We have two sweet pets from Briggs. Have had no problem with them at all. In fact, they go out of their way to be sure the pets are given to the right people.
Yes it is. We got our cats from the Jefferson County Animal Shelter. They're living like kings!
