Our adoption fee is not 300-400 dollars. A puppy is 260.00 an adult is 185.00 and a senior is 88.00. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed or neutered. Just so you have the right information. Thank you.
Yeah, the SPCA is also spaying and neutering dogs and giving them shots. Money has to come from somewhere to be able to provide medical services, food and housing for all those rescues. If you think that's an expensive adoption fee just wait for your first vet bill.
Where do people think the money come from to spay/neuter, vaccinate and care for these dogs and cats? The fee is necessary and yes, you have to “jump through hoops”. The staff have to make sure the cats and dogs are going to be safe, loved and well taken care of, it’s their job.
People will pay $5k for a pure bred puppy mill dog but not $200 for a pure bread rescue dog..... it’s horrible
I adopted a pure bred German Shephard from First State SPCA. Her fee was $185. I was the lucky one.
Yes so sad. They want animals to get a home but toooo many hoops to jump!
Yes to much it s just to much for me
Again, adopt, don’t shop. Fees shouldn’t be near $200.
I want a goat it seriously I got a great dog from them.
If I was looking I still wouldn't get from spca .. you can look on line and find free dogs and cats and vac your self still cheaper
Many of these loving animals have been there for a period of time and have been cared for which requires huge hearts and some funds - If you love something - JUST GO GET IT. The payback is second to none. I have had, currently have and will have other.........RESCUES No sense in being the richest person in the grave
*any avenue that gets pets permanent homes is a good avenue! Regardless of price. #happylifeforlife
