Post free kitten's on Facebook
It is disgraceful that they don’t give a damn about the cats in Delaware. Someone dropped off a couple of small cats and I was able to take one in-I have a couple already. I am feeding one sweetheart now outside. I want to help her, and I don’t want to deal with kittens. Someone offered me a trap cage for loan, but I don’t know how to trap a cat, and I don’t think I can handle doing this with a back problem. And now I am concerned she is pregnant. I won’t stop feeding her- that is not an option. All I am asking for is someone to trap her, and I would pay for medical costs to spay her. I am willing to take her in if she can be more domesticated. I am so frustrated. It seems the shelters and government would rather ignore the problem and let this innocents suffer and die.
David Stillman, where is the Delaware First rescue? Never heard of it. Do they only take rescues from other states, hurricane victims etc? I am not getting any where with any local agencies and the situation is getting dire.
Your post is unfair. I recently visited but shelter an observed them taking in cats and kittens. Some of these cats Priscilla and capture cages. The staff handled them all with great respect. I have taken rescue cats and kittens from South Carolina to Delaware First rescue. They have been extremely nice and caring towards all the animals I have taken to their shelter. I cannot speak for other shelters but I can speak for this one. They are a great bunch of people extremely helpful whenever I've needed them.
