I'd make sure you have a stroller. We took our six month old and she loved it. They do movie nights with a big screen at the pool, various activities through the week at the resort. I'd recommend the memo suites if you want to be near the pool, and the resort cafe.

I was just there with my son who is one and a half and he had a great time in the pool and playing on the splash pad. He also liked the backlit cell animation wall. He's a good eater but the cafeteria had a lot of options for pickier eaters. As others have said, there's a lot of walking involved so bring a stroller!
Yes it is. You have a walk anywhere you go because it's so big and so much fun everywhere you turn. So no complaints.
It's super cute, and everything disney does is amazing. But there are parts of A.O.A. that are a long walk. I personally found the walk back to our room in the little mermaid section tedious after a day in the park. Depends on what section your room is in
